The Chronos Series from Tokelau and the Pressburg Mint debuted in 2015. The collection has always offered new designs on the obverse and reverse fields, with the background of the obverse constantly changing and the reverse side getting an entire overhaul with a new clock-inspired design.
In 2019, the series of 1 oz silver medals switched to become 1 oz silver bullion coins. The collection continued to offer new clock-inspired designs on the reverse each year, with the 2021 release marking the third issue of the silver coins. 2021 also brings with it the first-ever gold version in the series.
Queen Elizabeth II is on the obverse of 2021 1/10 oz Tokelau Chronos Gold Coins. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief in the 1998 design from Ian Rank-Broadley. This effigy depicts the Queen with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The background field includes an infinity symbol with clockwork mechanisms. There is a laurel wreath around the design edge with inscriptions of the face value, nation of issue, and the monarchs name.
A new clock design graces the reverse of 2021 Tokelau Chronos Gold Coins. The design for the 2021 date mark offers a nautical twist with the ornate clock hands moving around a field that includes mermaids and anchors. The coins have a latent image below the clock hands that changes as your angle of viewing changes.
These 2021 1/10 oz Tokelau Chronos Gold Coins are available to you inside of protective plastic capsules. The coins have an extremely limited mintage and boast proof-like visuals. This includes frosted designs with mirrored fields.
