Crime in SA | Community Policing Forums want greater protection

CAPE TOWN – The Western Cape Community Policing Forum says while it appreciates government funding for crimefighting, it’s calling for better protection of the volunteers. 
Since December 2023, at least four volunteers, have been killed in the province. 
In the latest incident, off-duty CPF member Clinton Treu from Elsies River was shot dead during a botched hijacking on Sunday morning. 
Police say they’re investigating. 
They’re calling on the public to assist them with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects.
